Roof of Africa Craft Brewery is a privately owned Namibian brewery based in Windhoek, established in 2018 as part of the Roof of Africa Hotel and quickly recognized as one of the country’s leading independent craft producers. Brewing according to traditional German techniques and the Reinheitsgebot purity law, the brewery combines imported German malt and hops with mineral-rich water from the Naukluft Mountains to create clean, character-driven beers. Known for its draught, unfiltered draught, pilsner, and dark lager, Roof of Africa focuses on freshness — serving beer directly from the tank and prioritizing quality over mass distribution. With multiple medals at the African Beer Cup, the brewery has helped position Namibia firmly on the continent’s craft beer map.
