Berliner Weisse made in Quilpué by Cervecería Granizo
Berliner Weisse with Cherries and Murta (Chilean Guava).
The tenth creation of the Granizo Series, a beer inoculated and fermented solely with Lachancea thermotolerans—a yeast found among the indigenous flora of grapes that has the capacity to transform sugars into lactic acid during alcoholic fermentation. It subsequently received a generous addition of cherries and murta.
This Berliner Weisse at 4.5% ABV has marked citrus, red fruit, and herbal notes. The cherry predominates, while the murta provides a subtle herbal, almost mentholated, aftertaste. The balance between the acidic base and the sweetness of the fruits provides an almost infinite drinkability.
