Cerro Negro Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery based in León, Nicaragua, a city known for its landscapes of lakes and volcanoes. Inspired by this setting, the brewery focuses on producing authentic beer styles while highlighting the craftsmanship behind the brewing process. From the agricultural origins of the grain to the work of the maltster and the brewer, the project emphasizes the collaborative chain of artisans that shape each beer. Founded by brewer Ariel Oviedo Maglione, Cerro Negro Brewing Company represents León’s growing craft beer culture while offering visitors an opportunity to experience locally brewed beer rooted in Nicaraguan identity.
