Taula Beverages is a brewery based in Samoa and founded in 2012 as the first brewery fully owned and operated by Samoans. The project was created by a group of local investors with the goal of producing beers that reflect the identity and resources of the islands. Drawing on water naturally filtered through Samoa’s volcanic landscape, the brewery produces beers rooted in the environment and traditions of the archipelago. Its name, Taula—the Samoan word for “anchor”—evokes the moment when ancient Pacific navigators chose to anchor in the islands and make them their home, a concept that connects the brewery’s beers to Samoa’s history and sense of place.
